Soupirs ardens témoins de mes ennuis,
Sortez dehors monstrant du coeur, monstrant la peine,
Pour témoigner que de jour et de nuits
De mes pechez portez douleur certaine.
O Seigneur Dieu, ta grace tant hautaine
Dresse vers moi pecheur tant malheureux,
A celle fin qu’en ceste vie humaine
Je ne sois plus mourant et langoureux.

O sighs full ardent, witnesses of my troubles,
Burst forth, to show my heartfelt pain,
To witness just how both day and night
You convey the great pain of my sins.
O Lord my God, Thy grace so high
Direct on me, most wretched sinner,
That in this human life
I be no longer a dying man and sick.
