Biography

French composer active during the middle years of the sixteenth century. Nine chansons are ascribed to him in publications of Attaingnant, Du Chemin, and Le Roy et Ballard. F. Dobbins describes his works as homorhythmic, and comparatively old-fashioned by the 1550’s (art. "Besancourt" in GMO [F. Dobbins]).
