Biography

Claude Martin was a French composer and theorist, active during the late 1540s and during the 1550’s. Total of nine chansons ascribed to him. His treatise of 1550 dedicated to the Parisian humanist and parliamentarian Jean de Brinon. All appear in Du Chemin imprints. Is the text of his Un jeune moine related in any way to that of Lasso?
