Biography

A single chanson is ascribed to "Frougy" in a Du Chemin publication of 1549. Since Attaingnant also ascribes this same piece to Grouzy, whose existence is well attested, this acription to "Frougy" is very likely a simple mistake. Grouzy is credited with 11 chansons in various publications by Attaingnant, Du Chemin, and Le Roy et Ballard between about 1549 and 1565.
