[C 1]-C1; C II-C1; Ct-C3; T-C4; B-F4. “Regina celi” intonation in C I. Initial statement of chant (App. 3) for textual phrases permeates the imitative, contrapuntal texture. The “resurrexit” and “sicut dixit” motives in semibreves and “ora…Deum” in breves and semibreves are set apart from accompanying contrapuntal material. Similar motives derived from chant consisting of descending semibreves spanning interval of a fourth introduce the second and third “alleluias.” In an extensive section devoted to “portare” (mm. 36-52) the lower three voices restate material of the three upper voices. Treated in pseudo-antiphonal style, the final “alleluia” in triple mensuration, is reminiscent of the second “alleluia.” Text underlay is inconsistent. Final F, b♭ signature.
