Integrity of chant (App. 3) is evident at beginning of textual phrases and emphasized through use of semibreves with “quia quem.” Chant permeates the imitative, contrapuntal fabric. Interlocking phrases underscore continuity. Within two nearly equal partes (respectively, 44 and 40 measures), the “alleluia” segments constitute more than half (45 mm.) of the antiphon. To emphasize the “alleluia” of the 2.p. measures 72-84 restate measures 59-71. Melismatic text setting defines “quia…meruisti” whereas syllabic style characterizes “ora…Deum” and both “alleluias.” Final F, b♭ signature.

Unattributed entries RC253-RC260 in LeidGA 1442 are possibly by Johannes Flamingus who is credited with 12 compositions in the manuscript and was also one of the scribes.
