C-G2; Q-G2; A-C2; T-C3; B-F3; Bc-F3. High clefs. Entire range, A-g’’. A basso continuo (basso sequente) was added in the 2nd edition (P 1974). Chant (App. 3), set apart in breves and semibreves, permeates the imitative, contrapuntal fabric of textual passages “regina…laetare,” “quia…meruisti” and “ora…Deum”; the third phrase “resurrexit…dixit” in homorhythmic style exhibits limited chant influence (Q, mm. 32 and 33 and A, mm. 37 and 38). “Alleluia” sections are devoid of chant. Variety of voice groups and vertical pitch aggregates suggest spatial concerns. Textual phrases are defined by chant, cadential patterns, and contrast of texture and mensuration. In homorhythmic style and triple mensuration, “resurrexit…dixit” contrasts with surrounding material. A declamatory text setting prevails. Final F, b♭ signature.
