S-C2; Ct-C3; T-C4; B-F4. A German version for the antiphon chant[1] is primarily assigned to T and S within an imitative framework. Except for isolated instances in “alleluia” segments (e.g., beginning of the final “alleluia”), A and B have new material within the contrapuntal fabric. Text underlay, particularly for the final “alleluia,” suggests little concern for text declamation. The presence of syllabic and melismatic text setting complements that of the antiphon chant. In contrasting triple mensuration the “alleluia” that follows the last verse constitutes almost half of the entire motet. Final F, bb signature.

Regina caeli laetare, alleluia;
Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia,
Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia,
Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.
