Orazio Albani (1576–1653) was an Italian diplomat, nobleman, and lutenist, born in Urbino and active in Rome. He served as ambassador to the papal court, where he negotiated the transfer of the Duchy of Urbino to the Holy See. Pope Urban VIII subsequently appointed him Senator of Rome, a position he held from 1633 to 1645. His career marked the beginning of the Roman branch of the Albani family.
