Chapelle privée du pape Léon X, 1519-1520. Firmin Le Clerc est un des “chantres secrets” (cantori segreti) du pape Léon X du 22.2.1519 à septembre 1520. Il est retenu en compagnie de deux autres chantres d’origine franco-flamande, Jacotin Level* et François Vanelst*, au salaire mensuel de six ducats d’or (Haberl 1887, p. 257 [Bst. III, p. 69] ; Frey 1955-1956, (8) p. 416).

Firmin Le Clerc was one of the “private singers” (cantori segreti) of Pope Leo X from 22.2.1519 until September 1520. He was hired along with two other singers of Franco-Flemish background, Jacotin Level* and François Vanelst*, at a monthly salary of six gold ducats (Haberl 1887, p. 257 [Bst. III, p. 69] ; Frey 1955-1956, (8) p. 416).
