Biographie

Cathedral of Cambrai, 1464-1465 (Planchart PCR / 2018, p. 741)
"Jehan le Josne", a tenorist from Douai, asked for an audition on 27.6.1464. A committee consisting of one of the archdeacons (probably Pierre du Hamel), G. Carlier, S. Le Breton, and G. Du Fay, was appointed to hear him and recommended his admission on 6.7.1464. His title of "dominus" indicates that he was already a priest (F-CA, MS 1060, f. 167v: "recipitur in vicarium parvum huius ecclesie dominus Johannes le Josne" quoted in A. Pirro's notes in F-Pn, Pirro). He served from 5.7.1464 to 20.4.1465 (F-AD 59, 4G 7463, f. 5v-6).
