Cathédrale de Cambrai, 1424-1425, 1439-1452 et 1465
Gilles Grandin est cité comme ancien enfant de chœur de la cathédrale (“nuper puer altaris”) dans les registres de l’aumône les 3.5.1424 et 12.4.1425. Il ne reparaît plus avant 1439, date à laquelle il détient une des chapellenies foraines de Saint-Géry, qu’il garde jusqu’en 1441. Petit vicaire de la cathédrale du 14.12.1440 au 27.4.1448, il rejoignit sans doute la grande communauté des chapelains en 1444-1445, son nom apparaissant dans les listes de 1445-1446 à 1450-1451. Début 1452-1453 sa chapellenie (non nommée) est classée comme foraine, et le demeure l’année suivante, après quoi son nom disparaît des comptes de la communauté. Il pourrait être devenu membre de la petite communauté des chapelains, puisque, le 12.6.1465, il échange la chapellenie de l’autel Saint Christophe avec Jean de Condé* contre une chapellenie à l’autel de Saint Géry (Planchart PCR / 2018, p. 707-708, d'après F-AD 59, 4G7760, 7G2947, 4G7439, 4G7447, 4G6912, 4G6916, 4G6917; F-CA, ms. 1060, f. 215v).

Chapelle de la reine de France, 1452-1463
“M. Gilles Grandin” (prêtre, comme l'indique son titre de “M[essire]”) fut chapelain de la reine Marie d’Anjou de 1452 à 1463 (Perkins 1984, p. 548). Le 17.11.1459, une bulle du pape, qui le qualifie de prêtre du diocèse de Cambrai et chapelain de la reine de France, le nomme "chapelain du pape" (Dubrulle 1905, p. 72 ; sa transcription "Gilles Graudem" vaut sans doute pour "Grandein"). Dans les expectatives de la cour de France du 1.5.1462, il en reçoit une pour un canonicat de Laon (Gotteri 1971, p. 519, d'après V-CVaav, Reg. Vat. 522, f. 9v ; également relevé par Dubrulle 1905, p. 120).

Carrière bénéficiale
Le 10.3.1461, il reçut la chapellenie de l'hôpital Champfleury (Campifloridi) en l'église Saint-Amé de Douai, par installation de son procureur, Thomas Tinctoris, chapelain de l'église, suite à la résignation du chapelain Martin Espiart. Il résigna cette chapelle le 9.6.1464, par permutation avec le chanoine de Laon, Guillaume du Wal, d'une chapelle Notre-Dame de l’église paroissiale de Fruges (Fiala PCR d'après F-AD 59, 1G17, f. 123v-124 et 157v).

Cathedral of Cambrai, 1424-5, 1439-52 and 1465
Gilles Grandin is cited as having recently been a choirboy of the cathedral (“nuper puer altaris”) in the registers of the almonry for 3.5.1424 and 12.4.1425. He does not appear again before 1439, from when he holds a chaplaincy at one of the side-altars at Saint-Géry, which he retains until 1441. A minor vicar from 14.12.1440 until 27.4.1448, he probably joined the great community of the chaplains in 1444/45, for his name appears in the lists from 1445/6 until 1450/51. Beginning from 1452/53 his chaplaincy (not named) is classed as a foreign [i.e. non-resident] chaplaincy, and it remained as such the following year, after which his name disappears from the accounts of the community. He might have become a member of the small community of the chaplains, since, on 12.6.1456, he exchanged the chaplaincy of the altar of Saint-Christophe with Jean de Condé* for a chaplaincy at the altar of Saint-Géry (Planchart PCR / 2018, p. 707-708, after F-AD 59, 4G7760, 7G2947, 4G7439, 4G7447, 4G6912, 4G6916, 4G6917; F-CA, ms. 1060, f. 215v).

Chapel of the Queen of France, 1452-1463
“M. Gilles Grandin” (a priest, as indicated by the title of “M[essire]”) was chaplain of the Queen of France Marie d’Anjou from 1452 to 1463 (Perkins 1984, p. 548). On 17.11.1459, a papal bull, which describes him as priester of the diocese of Cambrai and chaplain of the queen of France, appoints him "chaplain of the pope" (Dubrulle 1905, p. 72 ; its transcription "Gilles Graudem" probably stands for "Grandein"). In the expectatives of the court issued on 1.5.1462, he receives one for a canonicate in Laon (Gotteri 1971, p. 519, after V-CVaav, Reg. Vat. 522, f. 9v; also recorded in Dubrulle 1905, p. 120).

Beneficial career
On 10.3.1461, he received the chaplaincy of the hôpital Champfleury (Campifloridi) in the collegiate church of Saint-Amé in Douai, through installation of his proxy, Thomas Tinctoris, chaplain of the church, following the resignation made by chaplain Martin Espiart. He resigned this chapel on 9.6.1464, by permutation with the canon of Laon, Guillaume du Wal, of a chapel of Notre-Dame in the parish church of Fruges (Fiala PCR d'après F-AD 59, 1G17, f. 123v-124 et 157v).
