Point je ne crains le mal que me veut faire
L’home adonné à tout malin afaire:
Et plus m’oppresse et plus suis patient
Quand pour cela l’affliction me vient
Qu’à Dieu je vueil obeir et complaire.

Not in the least do I fear the harm they seek
To do me, the men consumed by wickedness.
And the more they oppress me, the more I’m patient,
When such affliction is brought on me
Because I wish to obey God and please Him.
