TRADUCTION :
Little flock that’s lodged within this place
Under the favour of such a Princess,
What should you do, but pray to God
That He preserve her health, her greatness and her strength?
Hasten then, take heart and courage,
Mindful of this blessing you enjoy.
Awake, let your marvelling senses
Make it known to the children of your race
That it’s the daughter of the good king Louis,
Who takes you in as soon as others drive you out.
