O mort, combien amère est ta memoire!
A l’homme aiant paisible revenu.
Sans nuls proces qui peut manger et boire,
Et ne se sent d’infirmité tenu.

TRADUCTION :
O death, how bitter is the thought of thee
To the man who enjoys a peaceful income,
Who without more ado can eat and drink
And does not feel himself in the grip of infirmity.
