Leur mal, les presse, et chacun jour augmente
Pour le peché, qui est sur eux vainqueur.

This double sorrow troubles and torments them,
And they’re confused in spirit and at heart.
Their sickness crushes them, and every day increases
Because of sin, which has vanquished them.
