[C]-C1; [A]-C3; [T]-C4; [B]-F4. Chant, at times paraphrased, appears as a cantus firmus in the C; however, a motto introduces 1.p. (T), 2.p. (A and B), (B, A, T), 4.p. (B, T, A) or simply a text incipit (“regina caeli” in B). In addition, Senfl includes parallel texts and chant, transposed and slightly paraphrased, in each of the first four partes: 1.p., the second verse of the Ascension hymn Festum nunc célèbre[1] in A; 2.p., the first verse of the hymn Gloria laus et honor[2] in T; 3.p., hymn(?) with illegible text in T; 4.p., Te ergo quaesumus[3] a verse
from the Te Deum in A; and 5.p., textless hymn (?). The textless 5.p. includes chant related to the final “alleluia.” Final F, b♭ signature.

Shouting round him reply, through the unclouded rays, saints unnumbered on high, blending their songs of praise from the least to the most with all the angel host, of the victor’s claim to boast.

Glory, praise and honor to you, redeemer, king, to whom the lips of children made sweet Hosannas ring.

Te ergo quaesumus, tuis famulis subveni, quos pretisoso sanguine redemisti.
We therefore pray to you, help your servants who you have redeemed with your precious blood.
