Tr-C1; Ct-C2; T-C3. Entire range, f-d’’. Except for a slightly ornamented motto (“regina coeli”), the antiphon is devoid of chant influence. Textual phrases are delineated through use of an identical cadential pattern of descending 1st-inversion chords (mm. 18, 34, 50 and 73) and contrasting two-voice sections and mensuration. Within a contrapuntal texture of three equal voices, duos are relegated to “quia…portare” and “ora…Deum,” respectively, the second and third textual phrases. Compound duple mensuration defines the first two textual phrases and the final “alleluia,” whereas triple mensuration characterizes the third and fourth phrases; however, an intermingling of mensurations manifests itself throughout the antiphon. Three texted voices present little evidence of declamatory style. Final C.
