C-C1; T-C3; B-C4. Anticipatory entrances of chant (App. 3), typically as breves and semibreves within an imitative, contrapuntal texture, characterize the textual phrases and the troped “alleluia.” Ornamented chant as a cantus firmus constitutes the structural voice in the first (“regina celi…”) and second (“quia…”) sections, whereas a migrating cantus firmus distinguishes the two verses of the trope Alle domine nate matris[1] (T, mm. 115-128 and C, mm. 129-143). “Resurrexit…alleluia” diverges from the other sections with chant in breves pervading the texture. Melismatic text setting prevails except for the syllabic style of “Alle domine.” Final F, b♭ signature.

1. Alle Domine nate matris Deus alme nobis confer praestaque vivere:
O Lord, born of a kindly mother, grant and give us life.

Quam [quoniam] te decet laus honor O Domine qui de morte surgebas rex pie:
Since praise and honor become you, O blessed Lord, who rose a king from the dead:

Fac nos tecum surgere, alleluia.
Let us rise with you, alleluia.
