Polyphonic ensemble SAATB

C-C1; A-C3; T-C4; A-C4; B-F4. Chant (App. 3), relegated to Q as a segmented cantus firmus primarily notated in breves and semibreves, lacks the melisma for “laetare” and the second melisma, respectively, for “portare” and the final “alleluia.” On the other hand, chant and text for “ora…Deum” are repeated. Particularly at the beginning of textual phrases and specific words (“portare” and final “alleluia”) chant permeates the imitative texture. Except for the melismatic setting of the final “alleluia” a syllabic text setting prevails. Final F, b♭ signature.
