[C I]-G2; [C II]-G2; [A I]-C3; [A II]-C3; [T I]-C4; [T II]-C4; [T III]-C4; [T IV]-C4; [B I]-F4; [B II]-F4. Entire range, F-d’’. Chant introduces each of the four textual segments within an imitative, polyphonic texture to define the architectural framework of the antiphon. Chant motives also permeate the texture synonymous with “porta” (mm. 31-7), “sicut dixit” (mm. 47-50) and the “alleluia” sections. Antiphonal procedures involve shifting constituencies. “Regina celi letare alleluia,” scored for C I, A II, T I, T II & B I (mm. 1-25) overlaps the following phrase “Quia quem meruisti portare alleluia” that begins with a second choir comprised of T II, C II, A I, B II & T IV (mm. 18) but quickly evolves to a full-voice texture of individual voices. The final “alleluia” (mm. 63-94) includes a variety of voice groupings that enhance the development of motivic material. Final F, b♭ signature.[2]
