S-C1; A-C2; T-C4; B-C4. High clefs. Entire range, c-f’’. Ghiselin relegates chant (App. 3), transposed a fifth higher, to the A in long note values (breves and semibreves) at the beginning of textual phrases and imitative anticipations in B (“quia quem”) and S and B (“resurrexit” and “ora”). A second musical borrowing, the tenor of Comme femme desconfortée by Gilles Binchois,[1] is disposed in the T at its original pitch in triple mensuration, the mensural designation for the chanson. The S and B primarily display new contrapuntal material. Except for the initial incipit “regina caeli” the T is textless. Syllabic text setting occurs at the beginning of textual phrases; thereafter, a melismatic style prevails. Final C.

Sur toutes aultres esgarée, / More so than any others who are distraught,
Qui n’ay jour de ma vye espoir / I have no hope of being consoled
