C I-C1; C II-C1; A-C3; T-C4; Q-C4; B-F4. Chant (App. 3), intact at the beginning of textual phrases, permeates the imitative, contrapuntal fabric. “Alleluia” sections are devoid of chant influence. Preceded and followed by silence, the word “quia” receives singular treatment. Declamatory text setting prevails. Final F, b♭ signature.
