S-C1; A-C3; T-C3; B-C4. Most frequently stated in the T and S, chant (App. 2) appears intact for most phrases but is treated with freedom in other instances. Within an imitative, contrapuntal fabric chant appears in other voices, but freely composed material is also treated imitatively. The Pre-Tridentine text is set in syllabic and melismatic styles. Final C.
