C-C1; A-C3; Q-C3; T-C4; B-F4. The initial pitches of chant (App. 2) appear in all voices at the beginning of the respective textual phrases of the antiphon; occasionally, a complete chant phrase is relegated to the T and/or C. To complement the identical chant content for “ave regina coelorum” and “ave Domina angelorum” the same music is employed for each phrase in Jacquet’s setting (mm. 1-18 equal 18-35).[1] A predomiantly melismatic style prevails in the setting of the Pre-Tridentine text. Final F, b♭ signature.

1. Identical or similar statements of the complete polyphonic texture congruent with “Ave, regina caelorum” and “Ave, Domino angelorum” define Ave regina caelorum settings by B. Appenzeller (AC009), A. De Silva (AC035), H. Isaac (AC061), J. Mantua (AC062), B. Klingenstein (AC064), G. P. Palestrina (AC095) and Anon (AC186).
