C-G2; A-C2; T-C3; B-F3. High clefs. Entire range, B♭-g’’. Chant (App. 1) is most prominently relegated to C in semibreves and breves (“succurre cadenti surgere qui curat populo,” “tuum sanctum” and “virgo prius”). Chant permeates imitative texture at beginning of some textual phrases. Occasional phrases restated with varied rhythmic content (”ac posterius”). Harmonic progressions (g, d, g, E-flat, c, g) depict final phrase “peccatorium miserere.” Final F, b♭ signature.
