Descending stepwise motion in 1st inversion chords (A/T/B, mm. 31-3), tenths (D and B, 36-8) and D (mm. 41-4) spanning to an octave (mm. 30-44). “Et Jesum” motive appears as canon at the 5th at the distance of a breve supported by three independent voices (mm. 47-52).
