Scores

[1] Regina celi

Polyphonic ensemble STXX

[C]-C2; T-F4; Ct I-C2 and C1; Ct II-C4. No evidence of chant. Contrast of duos, trios and the full complement of voices as well as mensuration characterize this antiphon setting. A duo (Ct I and Ct II) is assigned to “regina celi;” comparable to RC292, it can also be regarded as an introductory passage. Following silence of eight breves the C enters with text “letare” whereas the T enters with text “quia…alleluia” after rest of 24 breves. The T is also silent for “resurrexit…alleluia.” The first and last sections in triple mensuration contrast with duple mensuration of middle sections. A highly melismatic setting with limited attention to text underlay prevails. Final C.

[2] Resurrexit

Polyphonic ensemble

[3] Ora pro nobis

Polyphonic ensemble STXX

[4] Alleluia

Polyphonic ensemble STXX
