Scores

[1] Regina celi

Polyphonic ensemble STBX

[C]-C1; Ct-C3; T-C4; B-F4. Alternatim setting. Chant (App. 3), intact for “regina celi” and “resurrexit sicut dixit,” primarily appears in breves and semibreves within an imitative, contrapuntal texture. Except for the three initial pitches of the melisma associated with “letare” and chant accompanying the following “alleluia,” a large portion of the remainder of the pars 1 is newly composed (30 mm. of a 37-measure pars). The “alleluia” following “resurrexit…dixit” constitutes half of the pars 2. The composer and/or scribe provide minimal attention to text underlay. Final F, b♭ signature.
