Scores

[1] Quia quem meruisti

Polyphonic ensemble SATB

[C]-C1; [A]-C3; [T]-C4; [B]-F4. Alternatim setting. Embellished chant (C & A) coupled with contrasting motive (T & B) introduces 1.p. with paired imitation (C/T=A/B); initial pitches of “ora…” appear within an imitative fabric (C,A,T,B) of 2.p. Syllabic text setting dominates in the two brief partes (20 and 24 mm.). Final F. b♭ signature.

[2] Ora pro nobis

Polyphonic ensemble SATB

Description

Unattributed entries RC253-RC260 in LeidGA 1442 are possibly by Johannes Flamingus who is credited with 12 compositions in the manuscript and was also one of the scribes.
