S-C1; A-C3; T-C4; B-F4. Chant (App. 3) significantly influences the structure of the antiphon since it saturates the imitative texture. Textual phrases often include two or three chant/text statements in each voice. Chant melismas (“laetare,” “portare” and the final “alleluia”) are lacking except for the reference in the final “alleluia.” Declamatory style defines a primarily syllabic setting with occasional melismas. Final F, b♭ signature.
