[C]-C2; [Ct]-F3. A measured intonation, “regina celi,” appears in C with a corona over each pitch; the transposed chant melody, intact at the beginning of textual phrases and thereafter paraphrased, is limited to the C. As the directive “tenor letare faulx bourdon” suggests the T duplicates the C at the lower fourth. The intervals of a sixth and octave typically occur between C and Ct. Textual phrases or specific words are framed by rests and often conclude with under-third melodic cadences. Melismatic style characterizes the text setting in the C, the only texted voice. The final textual phrase “ora…alleluia” in triple mensuration contrasts with duple mensuration of preceding material. Final C.
