D-C1; A-C3; T-C4; B-F4. Chant (App. 3) provides the foundation for the motet. Within an imitative contrapuntal fabric chant motives permeate all voices; new material is modeled upon chant as well. The final “alleluia” section, predominantly comprised of minums and semiminums, constitutes half (18 mm.) of the fourth textual phrase. Declamatory style prevails in this brief setting (62 mm.). Final F, b♭ signature.
