Embellished chant (App 3) serves the A and C in canon at the octave at the distance of a longa; the lower voices anticipate the canonic voices for textual phrases “regina…laetare” and “quia quem” within a contrapuntal fabric. A combination of syllabic and melismatic styles defines the text setting. Final F, b♭ signature.
