S-C3; A-C4; T-F3 Q-F3; B-F4. Voci pari. Range, F-f’. The T carries the chant (App. 2) as semibreves and breves for the entire setting with minimal melodic influence upon other voices. Within a seamless contrapuntal texture, the most notable imitative passage precedes the entry of the cantus firmus (m. 4) with an ascending motive in A and B and an anticipatory motive (also in semibreves) in Q and S. The Pre-Tridentine text is in declamatory style. Final F, b♭ signature.
