Biography

He was a minor vicar of the cathedral of Cambrai from 7.7.1490 to 7.8.1491 (F-AD-59, 4G7472 (1486-90), f. 6; (1490-91), f. 7). His first name appears only in the acts of St. Géry on 17.10.1481 (id., 7G 575, 229r). He is surely a relative of Jehan Hurtault, a papal singer who was a canon of St. Géry from 1449 to his death in Cambrai in June 1475 (F-AD-59, 7G 2224 (1449-50), f. 1v; 7G 2225 (1475-76), f. 1r) (Planchart PCR / 2018, p. 740).
